Training pedagogical

The sub faculty of applied sports was created in 1945 and was named sub faculty of Skiing sport and alpinism, then Skiing sport and tourism, and in 1995 Applied sports.

During the years the sub faculty was led by docent Mushegh Mamikonyan, then Hakob Kerselyan, RA honored coach, docent Martin Vekilyan, RA honored coach Aleksandr Mirzoyan, RA honored coach, PhD of pedagogy, docent Vachagan Meloyan, RA honored coach, RA physical culture and sport honored worker, professor Aghvan Chatinyan.

The sub faculty of swimming was formed in 1945.

The first head of the faculty was Vladimir Savelev, who was invited from Moscow. 1993-2016 the faculty was led by Igor Safaryan.

In 2016 the sub faculties of Applied sports and swimming were combined.

  • 1989 – 1998 – was a trainer of RA ski sport National team
  • 2005. – 2016 -Vice-president of Armenian ski sport federation
  • 2015. – was awarded a gold medal by Ministry of physical culture and sport
  • 1987 - was granted a title of referee of republican category in ski sport by physical culture and sport committee
  • 2000- was granted a title of RA Physical culture and sport honored worker by Ministry of RA Culture, youth and Sport
  • 2004 – was granted a title of RA Honored trainer by Physical culture and sport State Committee acting under RA Government
